The Weekly Quickie: ViViD, TSUKASA, D=OUT, The Black Swan

Ever wondered how to get the attention of your favorite band member?  ViViD drummer, Ko-ki, has all the answers.  He has decided to use his blog to give the fans insight into the inner workings of bandman life.  He's calling the project バンドマンのためになる話 (Useful Bandman Talk).  The information, however, doesn't come free.  The price:  RETWEETS!  The more retweets his blog posts get, the more in detail he will go, so make sure you follow him on twitter and hit that button!

So, this is the weirdest thing I've ever heard.  MICRO HEAD4NS drummer, TSUKASA, has decided to pursue a solo career...get this...singing Enka.  I KNOW RIGHT!  I can't quite get my head around it, either.  Enka, which is known for emotional ballads and a more traditional feel, is quite a departure from his usual VKei style and we wish him luck in this endeavor.  His first live is June 8 at Sagamihara-shi Shimin Kaikan.

Sad news for D=OUT fans.  Drummer Minase recently announced he will be leaving the group, citing family reasons.  As the eldest son, he will be taking over his family's business.  He made the announcement at their 7th Anniversary live and you can find comments from Minase on their OHP.  We are sad to see him go, but wish him happiness in his future.

I thought I was done with the Quickie until this next bit of news hit my twitter feed.  Ex-NEGA vocalist Jin's mysterious new band, The Black Swan, just released a preview movie and information about their first Japanese tour! Called Needless, the first live will be at Ikebukuro EDGE on 6/6 and will carry them through August with the final taking place sometime in September.

Well, this has all been a bit weird, so I'll leave you with Ai of Memento Mori doing a silly dance.

And that's the Quickie.
