The Weekly Quickie: MEJIBRAY, YOSHIKI, BORN, GREIVA, UNiTE

Good news for MEJIBRAY fans!  It has been announced via their OHP that drummer Meto will be making his grand return at their one man live at Namiki Junction on September 8!  Meto has been conspicuously absent from band events after a nasty fall back in May that left him hospitalized, resulting in the postponement of their summer tour.  He has already begun participating in recording sessions and expects to be performance ready soon.

X-Japan drummer Yoshiki has stated he will be making an important announcement via Twitter this Wednesday, August 6.  About what?  Your guess is as good as mine.  He's giving absolutely no hints, so make sure to keep an eye on his account.  He'll also be holding a Q&A session that same day starting at 19:00 JST, so get your questions ready and use the hashtag #askYoshiki to participate.

SON OF A BITCH!  No, I don't have tourette's. It's the title of hardcore rockers BORN's new single, releasing December 3.  There aren't a lot of details yet, but we do know it will be releasing in three types, the two LE's featuring differing video content and both including a ticket to any of a slew of instore events planned from October through the beginning of the year.  They will finish up the year with their one-man live, BORN LIVE 2014~THE STALIN-SECTION 2-[BRAINWASH]~, on December 29 at Shinjuku BLAZE.

Overseas fans of GRIEVA trying to get their hands on the LE of their latest single might find themselves having a little trouble this time around.  Their third single, Sei to Shi, released July 30 and while the regular edition is available on your favorite music websites, the limited edition can only be purchased through special mail order or at lives.  Not only that, but they will only be printing 444 copies, so quantities are extremely limited.  Time to look up that sorta-kinda friend you met in Japan that one time and ask for a favor.

UNiTE has released the full MV for their newest single, Revu, featuring their new drummer, Sana.  Sana will be replacing Yukimi who was forced to leave the band for health reasons and will be playing his first live with the band on August 16 at Shibuya Public Hall.  Their double A-side, "レヴ / ice", releases September 16.

On another note, someone take Vine away from these two before they hurt themselves.

And that's the Quickie.  Jya~
