The Weekly Quickie: Hide, DEATHGAZE, heidi., Vampire Knight, MAN WITH A MISSION

We'll be starting off this week with an interesting if not sort of creepy announcement.  On December 10, former X-Japan guitarist Hide will be releasing a new song.  No, this isn't a Halloween, zombie, back from the dead thing (though that would be pretty cool).  As it turns out, Hide was working on a song shortly before his death in 1998 called Co Gal that was meant to be included on his album Ja,Zoo, but he passed before it was finished.  Now, sixteen years later, the song has been completed.  Using VOCALOID technology, Hide himself is able to sing the song he never finished.  The track will be included on the upcoming album of the same name commemorating his 50th birthday.

DEATHGAZE has released the dates for their final international tour, DEATH WORLD, which will take them through Brazil, France and Germany.  The tour starts in Sao Paolo on December 5 and ends in Cologne, Germany December 15.  Tickets are on sale now for all lives, so make sure to grab yours!

We reported a few weeks ago on heidi.'s upcoming appearance at PMX in Los Angeles, CA.  Well, it looks like they need your help getting there.  PMX and heidi. have set up a page on crowd funding site, IndiGoGo, where you can purchase VIP passes for the show or Lucky Bags containing rare and high-value merch for $50.  They've set a $2000 goal and all funds go toward heidi.'s travel expenses.  Even if you're not able to go to the live, show them some support and grab a Lucky Bag and they'll ship it to your home!  It's a great way to get some cool merch and show the band we want them in the US.

Into anime and musical theatre?  Well, here's an interesting one for you.  Nogizaka46's Yumi Wakatsuki and Disacode's Akira will be appearing in the musical stage production of Vampire Knight.  Yumi will be playing the role of Yuki Cross, the story's heroin, and Akira will be playing her mysterious vampire crush, Kaname Kuran.  The show plays January 21-25 at Hakuhinkan Theatre, Tokyo.

Those wolves from the arctic, MAN WITH A MISSION, will be releasing a 5th Anniversary BEST album on January 1, 2015.  Titled "5 Years 5 Wolves 5 Souls,"  the limited edition will include 13 tracks and come with a commemorative 5th Anniversary keychain.  Only 55555 will be printed (see what they did there?) so get yours fast!

And that's the Quickie.  You know you like it.
